Quantum Aggressor Alternative
Mobility Vehicle
Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. has unveiled
a high-performance off-road stealth vehicle, which it has developed
for the U. S. Army. The Quantum Aggressor is being dubbed an "Alternative
Mobility Vehicle" and features a silent running operational
mode with reduced thermal signature.

The Quantum Aggressor is also a high-performance vehicle since
it has superior acceleration compared to similar gasoline or diesel
all-terrain vehicles. The Aggressor can reach speeds of 40 mph
twice as fast as other similar ATVs (about 4 seconds) and has
a top speed of 80 mph.
The Aggressor comes equipped with Type IV impact resistant carbon
fiber storage tanks. The tanks are polymer-lined and fully wrapped
with fiber composite and rated at 10,000 psi. The 10 kw fuel cell
and energy storage module provide power on demand to the high-torque
electric motors. In order to provide optimal traction and safety,
the Quantum Aggressors electronic control unit imposes speed and
torque limits on the drive train.
On-board power generation is another feature for the Aggressor.
It can be driven to remote locations and used to power communications,
targeting and surveillance equipment plus other battlefield electronic
devices. This H2 ATV also does not produce any emissions throughout
the different operational modes, making it a very stealth vehicle.
