Hydrogen Vehicles

Hydrogen vehicles are not just cars anymore. They come in all different makes, models, shapes, sizes, functionalities and target markets.

From passenger vehicles such as SUVs, trucks and minivans to motorcycles, motor scooters and motor boats, hydrogen vehicles are coming at us from a myriad of different manufacturers.

Take for instance the Intelligent Energy ENV motorcycle, which most likely will be the first hydrogen vehicle introduced to the consumer marketplace. This H2 motorcycle is slick, fuel efficient and very quiet. The British manufacturers have even decided to relocate to California to promote the vehicle along California’s Hydrogen Highway system.

The PSA Peugeot Citroen Quark is a cross between a hydrogen motorcycle and an ATV. The futuristic design and 4-wheel electric motor drive will appeal to those who are looking for city driving as well as a little off-roading.

The Quantum Aggressor is an ATV hydrogen vehicle built for the military to use for stealth operations. And, it can flat out run! The Aggressor has twice the 0 – 40 mph speed as its nearest gasoline or diesel powered competitor. The Aggressor can also be used as a fuel cell power generator as well, delivering electricity to its telecommunications and tracking equipment.

Then let’s talk about the Hydrogen Xperiance and Hydrogen Expedition fuel cell boats. Each one is riding high on hydrogen, making their different marks on the upcoming H2 economy.

But that’s not all. There are many other hydrogen vehicles that are making headway into the marketplace. Vehicles such as hydrogen delivery trucks for UPS, hydrogen-powered mining equipment and submarines and ultra light airplanes are just a few of the hydrogen vehicles that are starting to become commonplace.

The future of hydrogen vehicles isn’t 10 or 15 years away like some naysayers predict. Hydrogen vehicles are here now. It’s time to embrace them.
