Hydrogen Bomb Scare for Bush

April 23, 2006 | By Hydro Kevin Kantola | Filed in: News.

Yesterday, I reported that President Bush was visiting the California Fuel Cell Partnership in West Sacramento, California for Earth Day. Apparently, at this hydrogen awareness rally, there was a bomb scare where a man threw his backpack into a crowd of 1,500 protesters then ran away.

The bomb squad blasted the backpack with a water cannon but nothing exploded. The backpack was filed with wires and metal boxes to make it look like an “elaborate hoax.” The man was captured and appeared to be intoxicated.

Because of this hydrogen bomb scare, (and the free association I am doing since the morning cup of coffee hasn’t kicked in yet), I am reminded about a page of the Hydrogen Cars website concerning the bad rap hydrogen cars get with some people as they equate them with hydrogen bombs.
