There is a video circulating of General Motor’s Dr. Lars-Peter Thiesen speaking about the hydrogen fuel cell in a GM HydroGen3 in Germany. The HydroGen3 is a part of the Clean Energy Partnership Berlin demonstration project, which is made up of a consortium of hydrogen car manufacturers and infrastructure developers.

The goal of the demonstration project is to offer real world testing of the automobiles and infrastructure to promote public awareness and gain public acceptance. For instance, the HydroGen3 is being driven by employees from Ikea who deliver packages in the vehicle to customers.

Linde, Hydro, Aral and TOTAL are developing hydrogen filling stations throughout Germany in general and Berlin in particular. The next goal for 2008 is to add more cars and refueling stations in Berlin.
