Hydrogen Fuel Cars 2012 – 2013

This page features hydrogen fuel cars that have been shown in the year 2012 – 2013. Most of the hydrogen fuel cell cars and H2ICE vehicles on this page are prototypes, though some may be test vehicles as well.

2013

Before the ADAC Zurich 24-Hours of Nürburgring Race May 2013, Aston Martin unveiled the hydrogen hybrid version of their Rapide S sports car. The engineers developed a twin turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 engine that power the car.
The Honda FCEV Concept was rolled out at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Honda FCEV has a 100 kW fuel cell and a driving range of 300 miles.
In November, at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show, Toyota unveiled its FCV Concept car. The Toyota FCV has an upgraded fuel cell stack and body design from the previous FCV-R model.

 

2012

The GreenGT H2 hydrogen fuel cell race car was rolled out in 2012 for a possible trip to Le Mans in 2013. The GreenGT H2 has a 400 kW fuel cell, 2 magnetic motors delivering 544 hp and has 2 compressed hydrogen fuel tanks.
The 2012 Nissan TeRRA SUV fuel cell vehicle was rolled out at the Paris Motor Show the same year. The Nissan TeRRA features an upgraded fuel cell stack, electric motors in the wheels and a space on the dashboard for an electronic tablet.
