Oregon Inventor Builds Hydrogen Cars and Lawnmowers
Oregon inventor Abe Fouhy has converted a 1999 Ford Contour to run on hydrogen and has also built lawnmowers and BBQ grills that run on H2 as well. In addition, the 28-year-old inventor also hopes to one day run his 1905 farmhouse on hydrogen.
Working as an intern at a fuel cell technology company, Fouhy has converted several cars to run on hydrogen including one that ran on natural gas. He has also built fuel cells, fuel injection systems and hydrogen production systems.
And, Abe Fouhy is also a teacher of hydrogen technology. In the past 10 years he has developed classes on alternative fuels for the University of Montana and will be teaching a class at Clackamas Community College.
On this April Fool’s Day on thing is for sure and that is inventors and entrepreneurs in the hydrogen industry can’t be fooled by their critics as development of new H2 technology is definitely a cause worth pursuing.
