A couple of weeks ago I talked about the ITM Power / Ford Focus hydrogen retrofit participating in Great Britain’s Eco Rally 2009. This is a follow up to that story.
The modified 2.0 liter Ford Focus is actually a dual fuel vehicle that can run on either compressed hydrogen gas or gasoline. British Chancellor Alistair [...]

Though ITM Power has had some recent management shakeups, it’s still alive and kicking. At least this is what the British Chancellor Alistair Darling is saying as he took a hydrogen converted Ford Focus for a spin.
The converted Ford Focus was fueled with hydrogen created by ITM Power using solar energy. I’ve talked about ITM [...]

A couple of weeks ago I talked about how Jesse James from the TV show, “Jesse James Is A Dead Man”, Donald Trumps “Celebrity Apprentice” and other fame would be attempting to set a land-speed record for a hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine vehicle (ICE).
Yesterday, James did just this by rocketing his Streamliner to a record [...]

Frank Amendola of Alternative Fuel Sciences gets pissy when he talks about the ZeroFuel cars he’s entering in the Progressive Automotive X-Prize. In fact, three ZeroFuel cars are being entered, the ZF1, ZF2 and ZF3, which all run on ammonia and hydrogen.

Yesterday I talked about the Riversimple Urban Car as an open source fuel cell vehicle that could spread like wildfire to Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, the U. S. and other countries with a budding hydrogen fueling infrastructure.

A company called HandbookLive has just produced a video for General Motors and its Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell Vehicle. The video is unlike many others in that it not only features the fuel cell components but other features of the vehicle that make this more of a general consumer video than an early adopter video.
For [...]

According to Bloomberg, Toyota Motor Corporation could face a $1 billion charge in trying to comply with the clean air rules set by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) starting 2012.
In March 2008, I had talked about how CARB had officially chosen to promote plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in California over hydrogen and electric cars. [...]

Now, that Jesse James has finished with Donald Trump’s reality TV show “The Apprentice” he’s moving back into what he knows best, fast vehicles. Apparently the Green Scream from last year fell short of expectations, so now James is onto another project.
Jesse James is the owner of West Coast Choppers and is also the star [...]

As the Hydrogen Road Tour 2009 is busy on the West Coast proving H2 as a viable transportation fuel, the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is busy on the East Coast doing the same.
While Governor Schwarzenegger is speaking in West Los Angeles today about the tour that runs from Chula Vista, California to Vancouver, Canada, [...]
