The HydroGen Corporation has announced that they have started up a 400 kw hydrogen-powered phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC) at ASHTA Chemicals in Ashtabula, Ohio. This full-scale commercial demonstration project uses “by-product hydrogen” from the ASHTA plant that is created in the production of chlor-alkali.

Yesterday, I talked with Larry Jarboe about his quest for energy independence for this country. Jarboe is St. Mary’s County Commissioner in southern Maryland and has been a long time advocate for biodiesel and electric vehicles.

The Peugeot Citreon H2Origin hydrogen fuel cell hybrid delivery van has been unveiled in the UK. The H2Origin is a joint collaboration between Peugeot and Intelligent Energy, a British company that makes fuel cells.

Yesterday, Patrick K., an engineer, contacted me about the Smack’s Booster DIY (do-it-yourself) system that acts as a hydrogen generator for cars, trucks and motorcycles.
